Key Tags Part 1

I wanted to give a Christmas gift to Everybody at the restaurant where I eat all the time.  This meant both men and women, young and old and more than 20 gifts, which meant it had to be cheap. So I decided on key tags, handmade, of course. I started with the memory tags from Woodworks, painted them up, glued on images, finished with polyurethane and a little ball chain. I had so much fun making them, I really don't care if they are loved, or tossed in the trash. All images in this post are from ARTchix Studio which has lots of pictures, ephemera, and goodies for making art. Check them out.

Easy Angel Earrings

These little angels are so easy and so sweet I wanted to put them on everybody !   They came on a string from Fire Mountain so all I had to do is slip the angel on a headpin and stick it on an ear wire.
I am still pretty new to manipulating wire, so I'm impressed with myself when I form a halfway decent loop.  Fire Mountain has a whole section on creating angels so you can still make pretty angels even if these are no longer for sale.

My First Post

Hello Everybody.  My name is Joan. I started this blog to show off the stuff I make.  Maybe you will be inspired to make some stuff too.  This is an apron and dish towel I made for my nephew who is sometimes a cook. I used iron-on transfer paper and this bird from The Graphics Fairy. The apron says RAVENOUS.
I am loving the Graphics fairy : so many beautiful images. I am making friends with my printer and that makes it so easy.
