Baby Bibs

The baby has grown out of his first set of bibs so I got to make some new ones.  Transferring images is so easy and fun I may have to come up with more reasons for making things.  The bibs are from Dharma and the images are from the Graphics Fairy.

Fridge Magnets

This project has been on my to-do list for a long time. Then Mom mentioned she needed magnets. Aha ! Time to do it.  Instead of picking out a lot of images I used the same papers as I used for the paper beads here.  I punched out circles of paper, glued them face down to the glass marbles and then glued on the magnets.  I forgot about how strongly magnets attract each other and giggled as the magnets swam off of their appointed spots and stuck to each other.  Boxing these babies was impossible until I made an insert of cardboard with holes punched in it to hold the magnets in their place.

Rooster Tea Towels

I wasn't satisfied with flour sack towels so I bought toweling by the yard to make tea towels. It comes hemmed on the sides so all you have to do is cut it to length and hem.  The colorful rooster images come from the Graphics Fairy .  Another very quick project.

Cute Christmas Necklaces

I've been saying Christmas is coming and I'm not prepared.  Plan A seems to be too much to get done, so I'm going with plan B.  The pendants on these necklaces are from  Artchix.  All I had to do is hang them on a ball chain.  Done !

A Short Diversion

There was a storm last weekend while I was away from home.  This is what I returned to.

                                         View from the street.

                                           View from my kitchen.

View of neighbor's driveway.

Luckily, there was little damage done.  Now, I just have to deal with insurance ang get this mess cleaned up.

Baby Mix and Match Wardrobe

The finale of the dyeing adventure of baby stuff.  I think the little hats and booties are so cute. Hope he gets to wear them.  I started out with a dozen pairs of booties and ended up with 3 1/2 pairs. Either the washing machine ate them, or the mice are sleeping in them.  I figure that these should get him through early fall and by then I will have more (and larger) clothes made.  The clothing blanks are from Dharma except for the onesies.

Baby Onsies

This a continuation of my dyeing adventures.

This is supposed to be a shade of tan. To me it looks more like gold.  I knew as soon as the stuff hit the dye that it was darker than what I wanted.

This is sky blue and navy blue
